All about the Land Package
In Land Package, our most common length of stay is Saturday to Friday. You’ll arrive at Iliamna airport early Saturday evening and will be met by an Intricate Bay staff member. We’ll load your gear into our van and take a short drive to our Sea Planes. After the planes are loaded, we’ll skim across the lake and climb into the magnificent Alaskan air for our short flight to Intricate Bay Lodge. If you’ve never flown in a sea plane, this will be as exciting and memorable as any other moment of your stay with us.
When we pull up to the dock at IBL, you’ll be meet by our amazing guides. We’ll drop your gear in your rooms and acquaint you with some of our very basic rules – don’t feed the bears. Your first evening will be spent relaxing and getting to know your guides as well as our other guests. You’ll enjoy dinner, a few drinks and lots of laughs while taking in some of the most beautiful views anywhere in the world.
Every morning starts with breakfast at 7:00am. You’re in a boat or plane by 8:00am and off to your first location. Lunch will be served around 12:00 on the water. And you’ll return to the lodge by 5:00pm for Happy Hour. Dinner starts at 6:00pm. The rest of the night is yours to enjoy drinks, the hot tub, watch the amazing sunsets and tell the best fish stories of your entire life.
For most packages, Friday is the last day of your experience. We’ll fish through mid-day and then fly back to Iliamna Friday afternoon for your return flights back to Anchorage. Although this will be the end of your stay at IBL, by no means is this good-bye. Intricate Bay Lodge stays with you forever.

Deposits and Payments Policy
A 50% deposit is required at the time of booking to confirm and hold space. We will provisionally hold space for 14 days from the date of booking until deposits are received. Thereafter, we reserve the right to cancel bookings that are not confirmed by deposit. Guests may transfer deposits or other payments to another person using the same space of the fishing week booked. A final payment of 50% is due 60 days prior to your arrival at our fishing lodge in Alaska. You can pay the full amount at once too.
All payments are refundable at any time, with 85% of the total amount refunded. The remaining 15% is deducted to cover administrative, processing, and reservation holding costs. If a client replacement is found, we may be able to refund a higher percentage.
Gear
We welcome you to bring your own personal fishing gear. However, we do have quality rods, reels, flies, waders and boots available on site at no additional cost to you. All you really need to bring is a good rain jacket and clothes for the week.
Beverages
We provide a full selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages at the lodge, ensuring a premium experience for our guests. All beverages are included in the total cost you paid, so you can relax and enjoy your stay without any additional concerns. While Iliamna is a “Dry” village, we take care of all necessary arrangements to ensure your preferred drinks are available upon arrival.
